Jacket: Topshop // Jumper: H&M // Flannel: H&M // Jeans: American Apparel // Shoes: Topshop

It's the most wonderful time of the year! As my sister and I took our Christmas photos all over Feeney's, I just couldn't stop taking pictures! It was so busy and there were too many decorations to take pictures of! This may be my favorite holiday tradition. What is your favorite part of the holiday season? My Dress Collection

It is no lie that I have too many dresses. The movie 27 Dresses with Katherine Heigl doesn't even begin to express my obsession. It just seems wherever I go, almost all the dresses are irresistible. So today I present to you my favorites and necessary dresses from my closet. Here are my top dresses.
Lets start with the simple black dress. Every girl needs one of these, and mine is from BCBG Max Azria. This slip-like dress may be my top favorite dress, if not close second or third. The ruch detail of this dress at the top makes me love it more (I really love ruching, as you will see).
A high low dress, perfect for summer. This may be my most-worn summer outfit, since I don't like summer too much. I got this floral one from Delia*s, but they are common in every store now.
Okay I know I already have a black dress in here but you need one with a little pizzazz too. My H&M dress has a faux leather collar and mesh sleeves. It is always on point for any occasion since it can be dressed up or down. A slick silver zipper running down the upper back ties up the look.
This dress from Front Row Shop always gives that sophisticated look. As a Victoria Beckham knock off, it looks very similar to the original. I'm still trying to find the perfect shoe (by shoe I mean heel) to go with this dress, but when I do I'll let you know!
I conclude with this mint dress from Asos. It may look familiar for Perrie Edwards of Little Mix wore it in the Change Your Life music video. When I saw the video, I just had to snatch up the dress, plus look at the ruching!
So those are my favorite dresses in my closet. I hope you can spot your favorite of these five! If you enjoyed the little tour of my dresses then please leave a comment below!

Thanksgiving

Top: Zara // Jeans: AA // Shoes: Topshop // Necklace: Topshop

It's been a few hectic days! Other than my phone breaking, my computer crashing, and my little cousins taking over every other electronic in the house, I apologize for the late update! I hope everyone celebrating Thanksgiving had a good holiday, mine was filled with karaoke and Halloween ghosts still not put away. If you haven't been following me socially, I went to New York City last Sunday and plan to do a haul video sometime this week! Stay tuned.

Review: Topshop Arriva Boots

While scrolling through the Topshop website (a daily chore), I stumbled upon these chelsea boots. I had my eyes on a few other pairs, but the Arriva boots were on sale and only were $30 so how could I say no. These shoes stayed in stock for a while considering they were just about $100 off. These shoes are perfect for any occasion and they look great with blue jeans and a jumper. The only drawback of these shoes are the heels are a normal Topshop heel, hard and a little uncomfortable at first. You can also see how much use I've got out of these which is a lot. Sadly, the black Arriva boots did sell out, but they came out with a pair in the color oxblood. Here are some ways I would style it:

Suit & Tie

Top: Topshop // Playsuit: boohoo // Hat: H&M // Shoes: urbanog // Tights: Vera Wang // Bag: Thrifted

You always remember that one concert that makes you go "wow"; the real shocker. Well, in the terms of Justin Timberlake, you expect the wow and you get the wow. I recently went to his concert (which anyone who has the chance to go should go) and I got a lot of compliments on my outfit, though I'm not sure about them since they were given from middle-aged drunk mothers but I'll take it! I may or may not have overused the mirror effect but I thought it would connect to Justin Timberlake better. I would also like to share with you a picture that my friend Alex took at the concert (since once I recorded this, my phone said "not enough storage"... thanks apple)

A Hint of Print

Wearing: Jacket: Topshop // Jeans: Topshop // Blouse: Forever 21 // Shoes: Nine West
It has finally began to get quite cold out! Loving animal prints this fall as you can see from my pointed toe flats! As the weather cools down, I've broken out my leather jacket and should probably start wearing more boots... I might as well enjoy my flats before it gets to cold in New York! Xo Alana

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to the Leather Lookbook! Leather Lookbook is a blog of two friends who may not know each other in person, but their fashion styles have brought them together. On this site you can find OOTDs, reviews, purchases, shopping trips, and daily adventures of two small girls who have big aspirations. Here is a little bit about ourselves, actual fashion posts coming later in the week.

I'm Alana (uh-la-nuh) not (uh-lay-nuh) haha! I am 14 and from New York. When I was younger I was pretty determined I would have my own farm with thousands of horses... But that idea was soon put away! I was adopted as a baby and have been choosing my outfits since I was about 18 months old. I've always been intrigued by fashion since day one, a majority of my childhood dedicated to buying a new outfit to style my many American Girl dolls. Tumblr is one way the fashion world was really opened up to me. One day I hope to go to the FIT or the Arts Institute of New York. And of course, Princeton is another dream college! I plan to one day, settle down in the heart of nyc, working somewhere in the fashion industry. I look to Alexa Chung, Danielle Berstein, and many others for inspiration. I also look up to many style bloggers, there's just to many to list. I've really found my true style these last few years, Sami being one person who is always there to help me find an outfit and be an inspiration. Lets be honest, I am most grateful for the internet, as it opened my eyes to a broader view of the fashion industry, helped me meet a great friend, and most of all, has put this blog together. I hope you find inspiration from us and enjoy our blog! Lot of love, alana xo.
I wasn't joking with my love of horses!
Is that an overall dress I spy?

Hi! My name is Sami! I'm 14 and from the state of Pennsylvania. When I was younger my mother used to use me as her own personal dress up doll, and I had a few extravagant pieces to say the least. My whole childhood closet revolved around leopard print jackets, black boots, and two pieces, all of which are in style now (you could say it's déjà vu). I remember when I was about ten, I stayed up late one Thursday night and flipped through the channels, immediately stopping on Project Runway. I believe that night was when I first realized I loved fashion. Over the next three years I was positive I wanted to be a designer. The designing stage slowly faded away, but only for about 6 months before I found the fashion world of Tumblr. There were so many opportunities and a thing called Polyvore that I just couldn't resist. I found my style through the internet with the help of a few new friends, Alana being one of them. I soon hope to go to FIT and study fashion merchandising, marketing, and/or advertising then settle down in the big apple. For the time though, I look for inspiration through Alexa Chung, Eleanor Calder, Danielle Bernstein, and others. Fun fact: Somewhere deep inside my basement I have my first pair of overalls hidden away (since I had about ten pairs). Thank you and I hope you enjoy our blog. xo
